The time frame of a ticket is determined by the train carrier that is the owner of the train for which a specific ticket was bought.
For example – a one time ticket for a POLREGIO Company has the following time frames:
- for a distance no longer then 50 km – 3 hours valid from the hour specified on the ticket (ważny od – in polish that means valid from)
- for a distance between 51 and 100 km – 6 hours valid from the hour specified on the ticket (ważny od – in polish that means valid from)
- for a distance longer then 101 km – 1 day starting at 0:01 and valid until 24:00
The same rule is repeated by most of the regional Railroad Companies.

ATTENTION!
In regards to the PKP Intercity a one time ticket will be valid only for use on board one specific train. It will also have a time frame but that time frame will simply be made by the hour of departure and hour of arrival of that one train.
